21-year old John Luke Dale will spend the next nine months in jail after a three-judge panel denied the appeal for his sexual assault conviction.
Dale was originally sentenced in September for placing his penis on the face of a sleeping woman at a house party, then slapping her across the face with it while a friend filmed. The details are just now surfacing because of the appeal denial on Tuesday, October 21.
Judge Alistair McCreath says the sexual assault has caused the woman "obvious and significant distress."
Dale, from Milton Keynes, England, had been studying to become a lawyer at Nottingham Trent University when the incident happened. His friend showed the video to someone else, who then called the police.
