Video After The Jump
For the second time in as many shows someone was shot at a Rich Homie Quan concert at the Red Zone nightclub in Columbus, Ohio.
The Atlanta rapper was performing his hit song "Type of Way" on Sunday, December 22, when someone in the crowd started shooting.
24-year old Jeremiah I. Frazier was hit by one of the bullets. He was rushed to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:21 a.m, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Quan issued a statement today via TMZ.
It’s sad to hear that someone died especially during the holiday season. I just want everybody to know me nor anybody in my crew or affiliation had anything to do with the shooting in Ohio. We will be reaching out to the family of the deceased.
Back on November 9th, another man was shot at Red Zone following a Quan performance. 27-year old Freddie Johnson Jr., was shot twice in the back, but survived.
The club has a history of violent incidents and underage drinking. This year police have made more than 100 runs to the establishment.
"That's one of the most we've seen with liquor establishments in 2013," Assistant City Attorney Bill Sperlazza, told ABC6. "It's obviously a climate that is dangerous."
The Columbus City Council wants the club's liquor license yanked. A hearing regarding the permit could happen as early as February.
