In what can turn into a long drawn out legal battle, Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke plan to appeal the $7.4 million verdict against them for allegedly copying Marvin Gaye's song "Got to Give It Up" to make their hit record, "Blurred Lines."

"We owe it to song writers around the world to make sure this verdict doesn't stand," Howard King told Fox Business News Wednesday, March 11, via CBC. "My clients know that they wrote the song Blurred Lines from their hearts and souls and no other source.

As we previously reported, all of the $7.4 million will go to Gaye's children if the ruling stands.
