Jeezy is being sued by the children of a man who was killed at one of his concerts. However, one major problem for the family and a good omen for Jeezy, is that the rapper was never charged with the crime or even named as a suspect.

Concert promoter Eric Johnson was murdered backstage at a Wiz Khalifa and Jeezy concert in August of 2014 at the Verizon Amphitheatre in Irvine, California, when he was shot at least five times.

Jeezy, born, Jay Wayne Jenkins, and five other people were taken into custody after police allegedly found an AK-47 on his tour bus.

Da Snowman pleaded not guilty to the weapons charge and was released from jail several days later after posting $1 million bail.

In December of 2014 the felony weapons charge against Jeezy was dropped.

“Mr. Jenkins should not have been arrested and this case should not have been prosecuted,” Jeezy's attorney Blair Berk said in a statement via the L.A. Times. “We are pleased it has been dismissed, although frustrated that it took the police and prosecutors months to do the right thing."

“I pray this had nothing to do with race but it definitely had nothing to do with evidence. Words cannot express how vindicated I feel with these charges being dismissed today,” Jeezy said at the time.

TMZ reports that the concert promoter's children are proceeding with their lawsuit because a witness described the shooter as someone who looked like the "Dreamin" hit-maker.

Two years later the same witness repeated the claim in a deposition. A second witness "described the shooter to a police sketch artist who drew someone that looked eerily similar to the way Jeezy looked."

Johnson's kids are seeking money for funeral expenses and other damages.
