Floyd Mayweather Jr. is preparing for the biggest boxing match of his life against Manny Pacquiao, but out of the ring he's being accused of physically assaulting his adopted son.

A report of the incident that allegedly happened on October 31, 2014, has just surfaced. According to The New York Daily News, Floyd put 19-year old Devion Cromwell in a rear naked choke hold.

Cromwell is the son of Floyd's ex-girlfriend Melissa Brim. The world champion pugilist has raised the 19-year old as his own since he was in a relationship with Brim years ago. Mayweather broke things off with her in 2000.

Brim, her and Floyd's 14-year-old daughter Iyanna and Cromwell live in a home owned by Mayweather. On Halloween of last year Money May visited and told Cromwell's friends to leave, prompting the 19-year old to yell, "You're not my father!"

That led to a confrontation between the two where Mayweather allegedly put the teen in a hold described as “one arm encircled around the neck causing carotid and venous decompression and the other arm on the back of the head applying downward pressure.”

Cromwell's relatives want him to file criminal charges, but he's hesitant because Floyd takes care of him and his family financially. He did speak to the Las Vegas police about the incident. There were reportedly two witnesses that corroborated his story. He has up until October 31, 2015 to file an official complaint.

“We are desperate for Devion to do what’s right and bring Floyd to justice,” one relative told The Sun. “He controls our whole family through fear and money. It’s only a matter of time before it happens again — or, God forbid, anything worse.”

There are obviously two sides to every story. Floyd has not spoken publicly about the alleged incident.
