DMX is headed to prison for one year.
The rap superstar, born Earl Simmons, was sentenced Wednesday, March 28, in a New York City courtroom for owing the IRS $1.7 million in taxes, according to TMZ.
X, 47, was apologetic while speaking to the judge. He said he hasn't been thinking with a clear head and was too old to be acting the way he has been.
He'll spend the next 12 months behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release.
