Comedian turned Director Sean Larkins has put together a series titled "D-Boyz," featuring some of Atlanta's most talented comedians.
The cast includes Jack Thriller, KDubb, Karlous Miller, Ronnie Jordan, Rodney Perry, Tony Tone, Nema Williams and more.
"I want to put people in the mindset of The Wire meets The Office," Larkins told Comedy Hype. "D Boyz is a series that’s sort of like a funny The Wire. A fake documentary crew follows a dope crew around. I’m a fan of both shows, so I decided to put my spin on it."
Plot: Beyond the glitz and glamour of Buckhead and Midtown, lies the streets of East Atlanta; home to one of the most dubious gangs…the D-Boyz. The D-Boyz are in a power struggle over precious turf with the Westside Brick Discrabushun Klick. Caught in the middle of the turf war are the hapless J’s. Tasked with taking down the gangs is Police Chief Gilmore and his “over-the-top” gang buster crew of detectives. Each episode is a window into the wild and crazy world of the D-Boyz.
